Actor Heath Ledger, nominated for an Oscar for his performance on the movie Brokeback Mountain was found dead on his apartment by his housekeeper yesterday when he went to wake him up for his appointment with a masseuse.
Apparently the reason of Heathe Ledger's dead was for an overdose, due that he was found with several pills around his body, at the time that they found him he was naked on the floor unconcious.
On a press release this was the declarations of the case:
The Australian-born Ledger, 28, who was nominated for an Oscar two years ago for "Brokeback Mountain," was found dead by a housekeeper at his apartment in the trendy SoHo neighborhood, police spokesman Paul Browne said.
"We are investigating the possibility of an overdose," Browne said.
The housekeeper found Ledger at 3:26 p.m. (2026 GMT) and tried to wake him for his appointment to have a massage, Browne said. As far as he knew, only Ledger and the housekeeper were in the apartment, Browne said.
"There were pills within the vicinity of the bed," Browne said.
Heath Ledger was a succesful actor on the top of his career, he was the father of a 2 years old baby who's name is Matilda, that he had with the actress Michelle Williams, the last role that he played was as The Joker on the new sequel of Batman, all the Hollywood people are sorry for this unfortunate case.
