Located right in the heart of the red-light district at Oudezijds Achterburgwal 54, this museum reflects the history of the area. The erotic museum in Amsterdam is a crawling artistic view over the world erotics. It structure has five floors showcasing a wide collection of erotic art from all over the world. The Erotic Museum in Amsterdam focuses on the erotic views from the old masters and modern time artist through their paintings and other artforms. One of it drawing includes an original and satisfyingly suggestive sketch by mega star John Lennon, perhaps rendered when he and Yoko did their weeklong bed-in for peace at the Hilton.

In this amusement visit, there are also various typically Amsterdam photos, of course they are very suggestive. The hilarious memento are both an X-rated caricature describing some of the things Snow White apparently got up to with the Seven Dwarfs and a special fairytale corner with erotic videos will give you a look at the funny side of erotics. Camp fans should note that there is a rich collection dedicated to the patent-leather-clad 1950s muse and proto-dominatrix Betty.

The erotic museum is very informative and explicit, not for those easily offended. It opens daily from noon to midnight and the admission fee is 3€.
